The Luzz Glider 2026 is a 16mm Gen 3 hybrid, built on a honeycomb core with perimeter foam, and it swings lighter than almost every hybrid I've measured. It spins a lot too, and it's approved for both USA Pickleball and UPA-A play. It's made for players who bring their own pace and want fast hands at the kitchen, and what you give up is control, which is clearly below the typical hybrid's. For a Gen 3 hybrid, the Glider 2026 is my pick. If Gen 3 and UPA-A don't matter to you, though, look at the Enhance MPP Turbo ArmorGrit Hybrid first, because it's cheaper after codes and has clearly more control. It's $119.00, or $107.10 with the code STSPICKLEBALL.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Only four hybrids I've tested swing lighter, which makes it fast in your hands when the ball speeds up.
- Only 10 hybrids I've tested spin more, and it's A tier for spin.
- The ball comes off at the pace you swing, with no surprise pop.
- You can play it in both USA Pickleball and UPA-A events.
Quick answers
Is the Luzz Glider 2026 good?
Yes, for the right game. It's A tier for spin and C tier for control. That makes it a better fit for a player who attacks with speed-ups at the kitchen than for one who wants to win long dink rallies.
Luzz Glider vs Cannon, which one should you buy?
The Glider 2026 for most players. The Cannon only makes sense if you want the reach of an elongated, room for two hands on the handle and a little more pace.
It's quick in your hands, and you get the pace you swing for
So let's start with swing weight, because along with spin, it's why you'd buy this paddle. My swing weight came in at 106.3, and lower means quicker hands. Only 19 paddles I've tested swing lighter, and Luzz's own Cannon, which comes from the same core family, came in 14.5 heavier on swing weight.
On a short punch at the net, it doesn't add much pace on its own. Pop, which is the pace you get off a short swing, is about the same as the typical hybrid's, and the real pace only shows up once you take a full swing. The ball never jumps off the face when you aren't expecting it, which means you're the one setting the speed of the ball, not the paddle.
Spin is its best number, and the soft game is the trade
How its spin stacks up against other hybrids you can buy
More spin than most hybrids, 45 RPM above the average
The top three for spin
- 1Honolulu J2CR Long Handle Crystal Blue2,467
- 211SIX24 Vapor Jelly Bean 22,40364 RPM behind
- 311SIX24 Ultré Jelly Bean 22,39770 RPM behind
- 11Luzz Glider 20262,321146 RPM behind
Serves and drives
On spin it came in at 2,321 RPM, which is A tier, and only 33 paddles I've tested spin more. That's enough to put real shape on your serves and heavy topspin on your drives. I will say, for a grit face, it's not at the top. Its spin sits between the typical 16mm hybrid with a raw peel-ply face and the typical one with a grit or coated face.
Drives come off with about the same power as the typical hybrid.
Dinks and resets
Control came in at 61 out of 100, and a typical hybrid scores 71, so I wouldn't buy it for the soft game. If you win with your soft game, look at the 11SIX24 Ultré Jelly Bean 2 further down. It has clearly more control and still spins more.
Off-center hits
The sweet spot is about the same as the typical hybrid's, but the twist weight is lower. Twist weight is how much the face resists turning when you miss the center, so on a ball you catch out toward the edge, the face is going to turn a little more in your hand.
How it feels in your hand next to other hybrids you can buy
Quick in your hands, a little less steady when you miss the middle
How heavy the paddle feels when you swing it. A lower number swings quicker.
Only four hybrids you can buy swing lighter.

How much the paddle fights twisting when you miss the middle. A higher number is steadier.
Less steady than most hybrids.
How its sweet spot stacks up against other hybrids you can buy
A smaller sweet spot than most hybrids

Gen 3 inside, and the lightest swing in its group
The ArmorGrit and the Ultré Jelly Bean 2 further down are both full foam. The Glider 2026 isn't. It's a 16mm polypropylene honeycomb with an EVA foam insert and foam around the edge, thermoformed as a unibody, and the face is raw carbon with a sprayed grit coating.
I've tested 20 hybrids with a 16mm honeycomb core and perimeter foam, counting this one. The Glider 2026 swings the lightest of all 20, and only one of them spins more, the 11SIX24 Vapor Power. It also has clearly more power than the typical paddle in that group.
Luzz lists the swing weight at 111, give or take 3. My swing weight came in at 106.3, which is below that range.
The 5.31 inch handle comes in under the 5.5 inches I want for a two-handed backhand, and two hands are going to feel tight on it. Luzz's warranty is one year.
Owners like the speed and the spin so far
Luzz put the Glider 2026 out in May 2026, and I tested it on May 14, 2026. Five owner reports I found from May to September 2026 praise its quick all-court play and its spin at a low price. As of my September 2026 check, about four months after it first shipped, I haven't found a defect that three or more owners report.
Glider 2026 or Luzz Cannon?
The Cannon is Luzz's 16mm elongated from the same Gen 3 core family. It's $109.00, or $98.10 with the code STSPICKLEBALL, which makes it $9.00 less than the Glider 2026 after codes. Both are approved by USA Pickleball and UPA-A, and both have a one-year warranty. What really separates them is the shape.
Going elongated gets you reach and a handle with room for two hands. The Cannon is 16.54 inches long, with a 5.52 inch handle and a raw peel-ply face. It hits a little harder, and pop and spin are about the same. But the Glider has far more control and a far bigger sweet spot. Unless you're shopping for the reach and the two-handed handle, I wouldn't save $9 to get the Cannon.

How it stacks up against the MPP Turbo ArmorGrit Hybrid and the Ultré Jelly Bean 2
A paddle only wins a score when it leads by 5 points or more.
Glider 2026Hybrid · $107.10
MPP Turbo ArmorGrit HybridHybrid · $99.99The MPP Turbo ArmorGrit hits harder, has more pop, spins more, has a bigger sweet spot and is more controllable. The MPP Turbo ArmorGrit costs about $7 less.
Glider 2026Hybrid · $107.10
Ultré Jelly Bean 2Hybrid · $159.99The Glider 2026 hits harder. The Ultré Jelly Bean 2 spins more and is more controllable. Pop and sweet spot are about the same. The Ultré Jelly Bean 2 costs about $52 more.
Enhance MPP Turbo ArmorGrit Hybrid
Start here if you're not set on Gen 3. At list price, no cheaper hybrid matches the Glider 2026 on both spin and power, and the ArmorGrit isn't cheaper at list. It's $119.99, which is $0.99 more. The difference is the code. STSPICKLEBALL takes $20 off the ArmorGrit, whereas it takes 10% off the Glider 2026, so with the code the ArmorGrit comes down to $99.99, which is $7.11 less.
And it's better right where the Glider is weak. It has clearly more control and a clearly bigger sweet spot, with about the same spin, and it also has a little more power and clearly more pop. The 5.5 inch handle has room for two hands. What you give up is UPA-A approval, since it's only approved by USA Pickleball, and the swing is slightly heavier. Enhance's one-year warranty covers the core.
11SIX24 Ultré Jelly Bean 2
The Ultré Jelly Bean 2 is $169.99, or $159.99 with the code STSPICKLEBALL, which is $50.99 more at list. That extra money gets you spin and control in the same hybrid. It spins more than the Glider 2026 and has clearly more control, and pop and sweet spot are about the same. Keep in mind it has a little less power and a heavier swing, and it's UPA-A only, so you can't play it in USA Pickleball events. The 5.35 inch handle is tight for two hands as well.
The extra $7.11 buys the Gen 3 build and UPA-A approval
It also swings slightly lighter than the ArmorGrit Hybrid. That's worth $7.11 to me, so the Glider 2026 is my pick.
