What would actually change if you switched?

Pick your paddle and I'll check it against the 170 I'd pick today, for the six reasons people switch. A paddle only makes the list if it's clearly better on what you picked (5 points higher on a score out of 100, a swing weight 3 lighter, or $30 less) and no more than 5 points lower on any score.

Further right hits harder: power is how much pace the ball comes off with on a full swing. Higher is easier to keep soft: control is how easily dinks, drops and resets stay low. Each dot is one paddle: hover or tap it to see which.

What is the best pickleball paddle in 2026?

It depends on what you want more of. On my scores, the most spin comes from the Honolulu J2CR Long Handle Crystal Blue, the most power from the Pickleball Apes Zen S+ and the most control from the Volair Mach 2 Forza. My best overall for 2026 is the Honolulu J6CR Crystal Blue, and my top pick for beginners is the 11SIX24 Pegasus Jelly Bean. Which discount code should I use?

How do you score paddles?

Every paddle gets five scores out of 100: power, pop, spin, sweet spot and control. Every paddle gets the same tests, so a 90 means the same thing on every paddle. I also list swing weight, twist weight and my own spin reading in RPM. The letters are tiers: S is 90 to 100, A is 80 to 89, B is 65 to 79, C is 50 to 64, D is 35 to 49 and F is below 35.

Does my paddle pass USA Pickleball's new spin rule?

USA Pickleball's 2,100 RPM spin limit applies from October 1, 2026. My spin numbers come from my own test, which is set up differently, so they can't tell you whether a paddle passes. Each paddle's page shows which approval lists it's on, and USA Pickleball's approved equipment list has the final word.
